GLORYLAND S/S Tee
The GLORYLAND shirt stands as the official tee of one of the last remaining serpent-handling churches nestled in the remote expanse of the Appalachian mountains. A mere 86 shirts were meticulously fashioned – 16 designated as gifts for the humble congregation, while the remaining 70 are available to the public, with a vow against replication.
The original artistic rendition emanates from the skilled hand of Los Angeles-based artist Robert Meinhardt. Furthermore, each t-shirt features hand-chain stitching by Los Angeles artist Matthewisms, using a chain stitching machine originating from the Word War 2 era, affirming its artisanal essence. Independent print house Lucca Mart carefully handled the garment printing, making sure no details were lost in Meinhardt’s artwork, and all garment tags, were printed using a vintage WW2 Era hand-operated letterpress by a small print house Traction Press, run by a dedicated husband and wife duo.
